WinMerge is an Open Source differencing and merging tool for Windows. WinMerge can compare both folders and files, presenting differences in a visual text format that is easy to understand and handle.

WinMerge is highly useful for determining what has changed between project versions, and then merging changes between versions. WinMerge can be used as an external differencing/merging tool or as a standalone application.

ScreenGrab

The Print Screen key on a keyboard is useful, but limited in its application. ScreenGrab provides you with extra functionality at no cost.

Define a hotkey to activate ScreenGrab and it can be used to capture the entire screen or simply the active window.

Captures can be copied to the clipboard, auto-saved, or saved via a prompt window allowing a file name to be assigned to each capture.

Captures can be saved in BMP, TIF, PNG and JPG formats, with the latter option including an ability to define the quality from 1 to 100 - the higher the number, the better the quality.

3DTop

3DTop is a study into the usefulness of a three dimensional GUI (Graphics User Interface).For too long have we denied ourselves the freedom that is only offered by 3D games. A 2D Desktop is all well and good for simple procedures, but after a while it can make you feel cramped and limited by what you can do.

As technology advances, so too should the basics of our software, after all, everyone who uses a Windows OS, or even a GUI within Unix depends on their desktop for the vast majority of functions they will ever use.

In short, 3DTop uses the icons that are present on your normal desktop and represents them in 3 dimensions instead.

This approach enables you to fly around your desktop, change the shape of the icons and arrange or drag them in 3D also.

In addition you can create coloured spotlights, paintings (bitmaps), background and floor textures, clocks, flags (shortcuts) and whatsoever the future may bring.We are already developing plug-ins to use within 3DTop to further increase its functionality.

3DTop is very addictive once you have a decent OpenGL-accelerated video-card in your system.As 3DTop doesn't install anything on your computer there is no uninstall. Simply delete 3dtop.exe and icon3d.dat. But be sure that you quit 3DTop first.
